Common questions
How do I know what my treatment will cost before I travel?
There is no single cost that fits every case. The cost depends on the number of implants, the type of treatment, and the condition of the bone and the remaining teeth. Send us whatever X-rays you have, and the clinical team will assess your case and prepare a preliminary treatment plan setting out the procedures and the cost before you decide.
Can the cost change once I arrive at the clinic?
The preliminary plan is based on the X-rays and the information you send before travelling. After you arrive we carry out the clinical examination and the imaging needed to confirm the plan. If something appears that was not clear before the examination, no additional procedure begins until we explain the reason, the cost and the options available, and you agree to them.
How many days do I need to stay in İstanbul?
That depends on the treatment. In implant cases the first visit usually takes several days for the examinations, the implant placement and the related procedures. After the healing period you return for a second visit for the final restorations. Once we have assessed your case we tell you the number of days and visits you need before you book your trip.
Are dental implants painful?
Implants are normally placed under local anaesthesia, so you feel no pain during the procedure. Afterwards there may be swelling or discomfort for a few days, to a degree that differs from person to person. Your dentist explains the medication and the instructions before you leave the clinic, and follows your case through the recovery period.
Are dental implants safe?
Implants have been used for many years, but their success depends on diagnosis, planning, the patient's condition, the quality of the work and the follow-up. That is why we begin by assessing your general health, your teeth and your bone before deciding whether implants suit you, rather than deciding on an X-ray alone.
What happens if I have a problem after I return to my country?
Treatment does not end when you leave İstanbul. You can contact us after you return and send photos or X-rays when needed, so your case can be assessed and you can be guided to the right next step. You also receive the details of your treatment and of the implants used, so you have a clear record to refer back to.
What kind of implants will be used in my case?
The implant system is chosen according to your case and your treatment plan. Before treatment begins we tell you the name of the system used, its country of origin and the options available to you. You also receive the data of the implants used in your case to keep in your medical file.
Who decides my treatment plan?
The treatment plan is decided by the dentist after reviewing the X-rays and the medical history, then confirmed by the clinical examination. The point of talking before you travel is that you know what you need, how long treatment takes, the steps involved and the expected cost before you make your decision.
Do you arrange the hotel and transport?
We handle the airport pick-up and drop-off, and book a hotel close to the clinic.
